Valentines Virtual Date...

So I kinda mentioned it as a joke, but its a month from the day and I have "not a one" prospect for that night. Actually, I wont even be in NY, I will be in New Orleans working on that evening. Just like last year I was in Vegas working on Valentines day and decided to take myself to see Daddy's Little Girls even though I had a boyfriend on Valentines last year. I know right, I had a man and still couldn't indulge in the day. Anywho, I have decided to have a virtual date. But since I don't know what my schedule will be like my first day in New Orleans, I have decided to bring in Valentines with that date. So whose down to have a virtual blog date with me at 12:01 am on Feb. 14th? I know it sounds a little corny, and maybe even a little desperate, but I think the concept could be fun, so why not give it a go. We could get the day started off right for the rest of the blog world?

So here are the details:

1. At the stroke of midnight we will both log-on to a previously decided IM source.
2. Pick a place, a time, and a situation: a candlelight dinner in Turks & Caicos, for example
3. Take turns describing the surroundings and ambiance: food, wine, decor, music, each other's appearance, etc.
4. The date will last as long as the chemistry allows it to, just like with a real date. We all know that if you ain't feeling the person you make up some excuse why you have to call it a night, an early morning meeting for example.
5.Both will copy and paste the IM transcript into a blog post and reflect on how they feel the date went.

So there we have it. And I encourage others bloggers to partake in one as well. This could be a lot of fun! Some sites even suggest you use a web cam for the date. Even though I have one on my macbook, I don't think I'm ready for all that mess, but I am welcoming any takers, so whose interested in being my virtual valentines date???

@james - I aint looking for nobody... I know my brother to the night will find me when the time is right. I just think the idea is cool and will make for a good post... I dont want to put the idea out there as if this is someone I am going to want to pursue something in. Its all in good blog fun.

I'm so excited... and even though in real life I may have been hesitant because you have a kid, your blog personality makes me feel like this is probably going to be the best date I've had in a long time... I look forward to it.
