This will be the first time an African-American cast appears in the Williams play on Broadway.

Cat is being presented by Front Row Productions and produced by Stephen C. Byrd, who stated, "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof has been revived on Broadway four times before; this production marks the first African-American production approved by the Williams estate for the Broadway stage. This revival of Cat is not only making Broadway history, it is making American theatre and black theatre history too!"

The "strictly limited engagement" of the Pulitzer Prize-honored drama will begin previews Feb. 12, 2008, and open March 6 at the Broadhurst Theatre. Tickets are on sale through April 13.

I would give anything to be able to see this! Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is probably TW's best. (Streetcar... was overrated if you ask me!) And this cast looks awesome!

Wow! This is really a great idea and I can't wait to see this. I've really gotten heavily into the broadway seen in the last couple years and I love it.

@Skinny & Diva - The only broadway play I've been to has been the color purple... and I loved it... I have been to a million off-broadway shows though... but this is definitely a b.way joint I have to see

I am thinking abt coming to NY the previous weekend to see my BOY, Chris Rob perform... I forgot the name of the spot... But, he is sooo hot! Love him!
