"He's mine, you may have had him once, but I got him all the time"

I know you remember the 1 hit wonder group Mokenstef. They had the hit "He's mine." Here is the video if the song slips your mind
Why did we as women love this song. Every thing it exemplifies is just straight wrong. Why as women do we approach the other female and not our so-called boyfriends. Yes there are some females out there that prey on men that are already taken, but for the most part the other chick is just as surprised as you are that someone else is shacking up with him. In true essence he's NOT yours, because he's sleeping with someone else. The key line in this song is "never fall in love with a man who dont love you" Why didnt they take their own advice. Obviously the man doesnt love you either if he spent that one night stand with another chick. I dont know... I still love this song even though in real life its the dumbest thing a woman could ever try to convince herself of in relation to a man.

Oh yes....i do remember this joint vividly. Great point you bring up. But you do know mugs will rock out to anything if it has a catchy memorable hook.

Yeah, thats BS, bc, if he's out there like that, he will be doing it again and again...that's fo sure! But how do you know if you r falling in love with a man that don't love you...it ain't like they gonna confess such.

for a man, sex has nothing to with love (unless he is in love with that woman)

a man can have sex with a woman today and forget she exists tommorow

and as for the he's mine thing

women have ego's too you know

Monica had a song that was basically the same thoughts called Sideline Ho. I don't understand how people can accept that kind of disrespect and then get indignant about it. Oh well, maybe that's just me. BTW, I did love that song back in the day.

@rashan... and I love the sideline ho song too... one of my fav's on monica's album

...we sang it then for the same reasons some now sing Sideline Ho. (which, as much as I like Monica, I don't get cause whether you sideline or frontline...you still calling yourself a ho? *sigh*)

*shrug*
