Thought to Ponder

If the love within your mind is lost and you see other beings as enemies, then no matter how much knowledge or education or material comfort you have, only suffering and confusion will ensue.

Strangely enough, this reminds me of someone. They always have drama in their life because they view everyone as an enemies.

I think we may all know folk like this.

Thoughts to ponder. I have to pass this on to some folk.

Much truth spoken. This is quite sad too; might I add.

Yep. It's funny how the very one's who bash the opposite sex are the very one's looking for love but can't seem to find it.

Queen of My Castle July 2, 2008 at 10:01 AM

This reminds me of someone as well, and I could not agree with this quote more.

You create your own reality. If you see the world as a place of doom, filled with enemies, than that will be your experience.

But if you change your mind and see the world with love in your heart, not only will your interactions with people be different, but you will be different too.

I agree....sometimes I feel that certain people are out to get me, but I havent completely lost the love.

"love your neighbor as yourself"
-God

I guess the Dalai Lama understood the value of this advice too.

Great quote. It's so true. I wish everyone would read it and apply it to their lives.

Shai July 2, 2008 at 12:58 PM

What if healthy love was never instilled in the mind to begin with?

Avante D. Davis July 2, 2008 at 1:00 PM

I love quotes, esp. ones that pertain to me. The Dalai Lama is speaking to me! Thanks for posting this

Dee July 2, 2008 at 3:18 PM

thanks for dropping by

so, what are people supposed to do about a situation like that?

Shai July 2, 2008 at 3:22 PM

@GC: I was wondering that too.

Eb the Celeb July 2, 2008 at 4:09 PM

@Shai - good question that I am happy I dont know the answer too because that person must have really had a hard life growing up since love starts in the home

@gc - I wish I had the answer... all I can say is "let go and let love" meaning all the hurt and pain you have endured... to let it go... I know, easier said than done and for every person letting go has its own path but that is the only way to overcome hurt and resurrect love... I truly feel love is something that people bury and is and was always there at some point...

I couldnt agree with this quote more! If you always thinking someone is against you then thats a really really lonely life. Love has to be in there somewhere for you to feel fulfilled.

Keelah July 2, 2008 at 4:48 PM

I agree with this wholeheartedly!! And Shai, I feel ya, because I dont feel that I was exampled true love in a healthy way, however that contrast to what my soul yearns for and what I have experienced in my life makes me know that IT does in fact exist, all I have to do is uncover it.

Mizrepresent July 2, 2008 at 7:19 PM

Loving yourself first and foremost is your defining moment for everything and everyone that lies ahead, so if there is no peace within, there will never be peace!
Dali was deep!
