0I read it...my response to it now is "cry me a river." I can't take it. Maybe my thoughts on the article will change tomorrow.

Its such a coincidence for me to read this, because, very recently, I had come to the realization of just how insecure men really are and how it determines most of the interaction they have with women. I was going to write a post, but I felt it wouldn't be believable coming from a woman. It kinda balances things out though, because if women really really knew, the power of P--SY would reign supreme.

Thanks for spreading the knowledge.

Eb boo waddap?! Im actually watching the second part now.. I think the series is surpisingly fair in its approach.. I dont wanna speak too soon..

But on the subject black men are vulnerable, scary(about their emotions). We cover it up with masculinity and machismo and shit like that. But i contribute alot of the insecurity of the relationhip of the black male and female due to ego, and immaturity, specifically the effort (at the right and ppropriate times) to open doors of communication.. I aint gonna go there tonight. But its beautiful Eb that we're talking about these things together just not as a group of men or a group of women.. Much luv hun -Q.

about that article, its frustrating because we were discussing the same issues in one of my women's studies classes. about how society makes it difficult for man to be all of those things they truely are for fear of losing their masculinity.

although at the same time i dont want no simp as nigga, so i dont know...

Thats the same thing I felt, when I heard about this series. It's not for us. It's the quick primer, to the black experience, for non African-Americans in 08. And, even with that said, the majority of people watching it, were probably still chuffing onto the bootstrap quote.

I like CNN and all, but I wasn't too wow'ed by this series. Just another attempt to make, the outside, see what it's like inside.

Am I the only one that found this Black in America documentary to be a bunch of hog wash?
