Thoughts to Ponder Courtesy of Barack Obama

A big part of this presidency will of course make a stamp on history with people one day quoting President Obama like we do with political leaders of our past. So far here are some of my fav quotes by this great man and I look forward to more profound words by this great man.
Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it's only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential.

My parents shared not only an improbable love, they shared an abiding faith in the possibilities of this nation. They would give me an African name, Barack, or blessed, believing that in a tolerant America your name is no barrier to success.

Great words from the great orator himself. That second quote is the golden ticket though.

Hey Eb! I missed your blog!!!

These are some dope quotes, and honestly, I can't wait to see what he does in office...it's just day two, and he already has stuff popping off that he wants to get done.

I cannot tell you how happy and elated I am these days.

Things have changed forever and I couldn't be more proud or excited.

Those are great quotes and just a few out of myriad great quotes he already has. Its great to have a President who says something meaningful rather than is quoted for gaffes and missteps.

The First quote is my favorite.

The last quote is my fave! Thanks for sharing these!

I love all of them but the 1st & 2nd one speaks to me the most...

The last quote really hits home. I can relate to that along with many folk born close to my year... Sitting here with a name that can be considered unusual and dealing with the stereotypes that may come across someone's mind when they are about to read my resume.

Whew, couldn't have said it better. This speaks volumes, mind if I quote you on my site?

Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition.

Yeah there is going to be a lot of quotables from him.

Dude got the tounge of a pimp.

He was preaching like nobody's business at Inauguration, every time he would hit a point, I'd find myself going "well...." He just has this eloquence without being condescending that just PULLS you in and America is going to be better for it because he talks the talk, and as evidenced by him closing Gitmo and lifting the Abortion Gag order, he's damn sure gonna walk the walk!

That dude is 100% thorough. It is amazing to hear him speak and now be able to say "that is the PRESIDENT dropping knowledge!" Dang!

Keith January 25, 2009 at 1:27 AM

I wish him the best. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.

2nds is my fav of the three.

Feel like thats where I'm at. I could focus on making a buck, or I can focus on more important things like school n be better in the long run.
