The Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars mess is getting really old. So I have come up with a new title.
Women are suspicious when a man says he loves her. We know we have problems for just taking those words as they are.
Men are skeptical because they dont really feel that you can love only 1 person for the rest of their lives. Why they get married, I will never know when they don't really believe that to be so.
That's all I am going to say about that. Let me know if you feel me and give examples of how women are suspicious and men are skeptical; or just let me know I am crazy as hell and way off... whatever tickles your fancy!

I think you are partially correct. Women do tend to be suspicious but they have been trained to be that way and they train others to be that way perpetuating the cycle.
I wouldn't say that men are skeptical but I can't really think of a word to describe them and their behaviors. They are often emasculated by society and woman which causes them to over compensate trying to prove their manhood.
Of course I could be completely wrong!
I can subscribe to that! Men are a mess!!
i completely agree...i think a lot of guys get married because they don't want to be alone. they find a woman that really loves them and they feel the need to stay with them solely for that reason. men don't like being alone just like women don't.
yea...i feel u on this one. i'm ALWAYSSSS suspicious. sucks tho, cuz i think i let one slip.

"Men are skeptical because they dont really feel that you can love only 1 person for the rest of their lives"
boys are the only ones who believe this myth
men know that not only is it possible but it can be very, very, very fulfilling

I can't speak for the men's side of things, but yes, I am suspicious, and I agree with regina that it was something I was taught to do by the elderwomen in my home, unfortunate but true.
And what's even sadder is I think I might have passed it down to my daughters without even meaning to...DAMN! Well, they're still young; let me see if I can't undo the damage.
Hopefully one day I'll let down my guard. Not this year, but one day LOL.
