I have never been one to be but I know a lot of people who are. Granted my courage adjusts itself based on the situation, but I know many that are passive in every possible aspect of their life. Renaissance People are go-getters, they take chances, and they haven't the least bit of faint in their hearts. Here are some thoughts to ponder for those that may need an extra push to get out of that state.
" Our journey has never been one of short-cuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted - for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things - some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom."
~President Barack Hussein Obama
"The future doesn't belong to the faint-hearted; it belongs to the brave"
~Ronald Reagan
"Faint heart ne'er won fair lady"
~Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra
