Doing nothing and having a movie weekend last weekend (I watched "Cover" and "Things we lost in the fire" for the first time, and I highly recommend both) made me realize I have not been to the movies since SATC came out. I only went to see that because of all the hype and thought I was missing something. Never been a big fan of going to the movies in the summer. They always have the A/C way too damn high and I'd rather be doing activities you can do outside since the nice weather in NYC is limited and the movies are always cozier in the fall/winter anyway. Now that its August, that means the summer is starting to wind down and I have been scoping the net for previews of movies I am looking forward to. Here are a couple:

I want to see the Family That Preys, but Lake View reminds me of White Mans Burden, and that sucked.
I do want to see Traitor and Pineapple Express.
Unfortunately, I haven't heard of any of these movies you have mentioned. I do plan on seeing Tropic Thunder but that is as far as I've gotten.
I've been the movie queen this summer and I was pleasantly surprised that they've had the A/C on a comfortable temperature at all the shows I've visited.
Did you go out last night? I finally watched Superbad...so funny!

tropic thunder. that's about it. i haven't been keeping up with the new flicks as of late.
i can't wait for that new Spike Lee joint. Miracle at St. Anna's i think its called.
i wanna go see pineapple express...i dont wanna see not another tyler perry movie....at least for a while...i need a break...lol
the only movie im waiting for is harry pottet but thats not for a long time .all the hancock,batamn ,indiana jones movies already came out so ive calmed down now

@kandi black - I didnt see that last one... Meet the Browns... but this one looks like Tyler Perry stepped out of his normal realm...
@nodays - they are still making harry potter movies... would you believe me if I said I have never seen 1 of them and dont have any interest at all in them

Wait I know what Tropic Thunder is.. That Ben Stiller movie... my friend saw a screening for it a while back... she said it was really good but touches on a lot of racial things... so dont go if your really sensitive to that type of stuff

I want to see the Family that Preys , glad to see Perry is "diversifying"- gain more viewers that way.
I saw Tropic Thunder at an advance screening- HILARIOUS (touches on racial things but dealt with it very well in my opinion, b/c I was ready to be mad when I saw Downey Jr. in black face but there is more to it).
I saw a trailer for Lake view Terrace- interesting.
Other movies, besides Harry Potter (yeah I said it) I want to see won't be out to 09(Like Wolverine and Star Trek- but I'm no sci fi geek!)
