What better way to start off the month than with some randomosity

Hello August... can you please bring at least 1 full week without rain to NYC. I mean damn... we haven't had one all summer. It would be greatly appreciated!

Why did I see this new painting by WAK and think it was me. It's called mind, body, and soul and I swear it looks exactly how I look naked to the point that I thought he found some pic of me somewhere and made it into art. I mean seriously...that's exactly how my boobs look. Itty bitties all pointy, perky, and far apart. Stomach that isn't as flat as I would like it to be... I always have a lil hangover when I'm sitting down. A small booty... and luscious thighs. My radiant chocolate complexion exactly. I love love love this! WAK is one of my favs. I have him all over the crib and this might be the next print by him I buy because it is so me. If only she had a killer short cut instead of that afro.

Whew lawd did ya see the premiere of Real Housewives of ATL. Now usually Sheree gets on my last damn nerves. First of all, why are you spending all this money on a party??? You just lost your house, and you have no jobs, and you said ya baby daddy aint paying child support or alimony so don't you think you need to be saving all extra money for a rainy day. Either way... the party planning made for good tv when her and the planner got into it. Lawd I was crying! Especially when she said he lucky she didn't call Pookie Nem. bwhahahaha. I died. Check it out if you missed it.

Oh and for the record... Drake fell... his knee did not give out. He just slipped and bussed his arse

Have you ever been racially profiled??

This whole thing with Professor Gates got me to thinking.
I haven't directly but I have seen a black man with me get profiled. Me, my boy Nate, and my roommate were on our way to the ESPN draft party. We got off the west side highway and stop at a light and an officer walked up to the car while we were at the light tapped on the window.

The officer goes... this is a checkpoint we need to see your license and registration. Nate complies, the cop walks away. I go... where exactly is the checkpoint... we are at a light. No other cars are being checked... just us. So when dude comes back I told Nate to ask for his badge number. He does and the cop starts getting frantic. You could tell he was fresh out of cadet school. He goes, what do you need my badge number for? Then tries to switch it up and goes, well I was going to let you go on this tint change because I dont think it will pass the test but now I am going to test it.

The idiot doesn't even know that it doesn't matter whether he passes the NYC tint test or not because his license and registration is in CT. He doesn't even live here, he drove down for the party. The young officer never comes back to the car. A sheriff comes to the car and asks us what the problem is. We say we want his badge number. Sheriff goes you can take down mine instead. Because we didn't want to miss the party we just let it go but I'm wondering if we should stood our ground. We knew they were wrong and knew our rights and thinking back, they shouldn't have gotten away with it because I know they've done it to some others since. Part of me feels like I have failed as a black person for not standing up for my rights in that instant.

Now... ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL???????

You cant even imagine how hype I am right now. Camp has started and I can smell the sweat, turf, and pigskin in the air. Remember my post I did last year on the reasons my RBWs should watch football, well I did a new one for my ladies over at Sista Sports. You can check it out HERE!

I'm doing an all female fantasy football league this year and I am so excited for the female football power and circle of football loving ladies I've met via blog land!

Oh and I'm addicted to ustream. Especially football player ustreams. OchoCinco TV and MartyBTV are my favs.

I forgot to do this 2 months ago. Comedian Royale Watkins hooked me up with tix to the mixtape comedy tour he does once a month with Anthony Anderson in June. Thx a milli Royale. I had so much fun and was seated right next to Pepa from the Legendary group Salt & Pepa. Here are a couple pics.

Now I told Royale I would spread the word for his hospitality so I'm trying to get a clan of us NYC bloggers to all go to the show this month. Its on Sunday, August 16th and its Anthony Anderson's birthday so they are doing a huge after party after. For more info go to www.mixtapecomedy.com Whose rolling with me???

Me and my best friend growing up fell out when I was in ATL for my birthday last year. I had so much bottled up that women had literally babied him about all his life. We are grown now, it was time for someone to finally stand up and say something to him. To let him know that ish he does is unacceptable. I let his arse have it. I mean he did some real selfish ish so I straight let him have it. Me and his 2 brothers are still close and speak on the regular. A couple months after the incident he tried to reach out to me to let me know he was visiting NYC and we exchanged a couple text messages. He was still in denial about how everything went down so I said hell NO I was going to see him while he was in town. Our HS reunion was back in May, he reached out to see if I was going... I ignored him again. Since he had tried to friend me on FB and is following me on twitter and sent me a note on forgiveness and not holding grudges via twitter. But I'm still mad. I don't want to be his friend. People grow apart even though he was one of my best friends in the world for a really long time. There are certain things I expect from my close friends and he only thinks about himself always. I honestly don't want or need his attitude in my life. But part of me feels like that isn't the right way to be. Part of me feels like maybe he has changed in the last year and although I have given him a chance to patch it up in the past and he wanted to act as if he wasn't at fault, that I should still be the bigger person. What does my RBW fam think I should do?

Is that enough randomination to get you through the week...lololol

I put my vote in for you but I dont see your name up there as a finalist.

So you say the paintings breast are just like yours?

Prove it;)

Man I was not trying to watch the show but I am hook! When they got into it I spit all my drink out. I wonder if a gay dude and a woman get into a fight if thats considerd a cat fight?

The better question is there some one out there who hasnt been racially profiled.

I just voted for your blog..I figured it was the least I could do to make up for yesterday. -:)

WAK is one of my favorite artists too. This painting is sick!

RHOA had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish!!

I've been racially profiled when I first moved into my current neighborhood. I had just dropped my daughter off at school and was pulled over b/c I was allegedly going '20mph OVER the posted speed limit'. The cop repeatedly asked me whose car I was driving(MINE) and why it had 30 day tags on it(Bish cause I just bought it) and then she goes "well just drive a lil slower, we don't want anyone to get hurt". I have plenty of law enforcement in my family to know that if I truly was going 20mph OVER, I would have gotten a ticket and a court appearance. That is the LAW here in OH!

I want in on the fantasy football league! Let me know details please.

@Lina & MzInspired... Sorry ladies.. the league is already full... but send me your email addresses just in case someone flakes and we end up having an open spot

@clnmike - you are too much... I am not proving anything...lol. I just told you what they look like... pointy, purky and far apart... that's enough of a visual...

and I have no idea how that black weblog mess works so I deleted that portion of the post... *sad face* i didn't make it...lol

@mzinspired - your story reminded me of when I was racial profiled. My freshman year in college I used to get pulled over by cops all the time because of my NYC plates in NC.

if my pockets can handle it, put me down for the comedy show. But remind me not to wear mascara because when I laugh a lot? tears alllllll down my face LOL

RE: the friend. If you don't want to salvage it then what's the point of doing so? Let him know that's where you are right now & leave it at that. And who knows, maybe later on in life y'all will talk like buddies again. Just follow your gut instinct.

And YES I'm ready for football because the Mets have me sooooooo distraught right now I can't even function!!

RHOA = Some Real Nigga Shit

I thought I was watching BET, not BRAVO.

It's entertaining, but I hate when black folks put themselves out like that.
